Northwell Health Orthopedics is recruiting a board-certified or board-eligible, fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon to Huntington on Long Island.
Northwell is the largest health system in New York State, and scale changes the shape of a job in ways worth thinking through. It generally means a defined referral network, subspecialty colleagues to hand difficult cases to, and infrastructure that already exists. It also means institutional process. Surgeons who want a service they can redesign in year one are usually happier somewhere smaller.
Huntington is on the north shore of Long Island, inside the New York metropolitan area but with its own settled catchment rather than a purely commuter one.
